Tool cover band coming to BB King club

Celebrating the release of TOOL's long-awaited CD "10,000 Days". Not many tribute bands out there ever attempt to engage in the raw talent, mysticism, and magic that is TOOL. But if you talk to four brave souls from New York City, their love and passion for this music led them to form SCHISM. New York City's premiere TOOL tribute band. We invite you of the collective unconscious to share with us the experience of TOOL as submitted to you by your humble servants of SCHISM. www.toolbandnyc.com

They'll be at BB King on May 5th, tix are available thur ticketmaster. BB King is on 42nd St. Between Broadway and 8th.

Wonderful Manhattan Real Estate Broker

Finding an apartment in Manhattan is a very stressful state of affairs. When looking for my first apartment in NYC, I dealt with about 8-10 real estate brokers. No one compared to Manhattan Apartments.

Here you will find an ethical and diligent group of agents in both sales and rental divisions. They will not pressure you to accept the first apartment you come across; rather, they will gather all the pertinent facts about what you like and dislike about a unit, then find one that more closely suits your needs. They were invaluable in my apartment searches and I would never consider using another real estate brokerage again.

Best Sushi

3 reviews of some top notch sushi restuarants.

1) Tomoe Sushi
You'll have to wait for a table at this Greenwich Village restaurant, but the wait is worth it. Amazingly fresh and generous scallop sushi and yellowtail and scallion maki are among my favorite choices (at very reasonable prices.) Somewhat barren setting, no reservations.

2) Yama
Three separate locations in Greenwich Village all offer generous portions of sushi at reasonable prices. Classier decor than Yama with only slightly higher prices.

3) Jeollado
This East Village restaurant serves both Korean and Japanese food. Their seaweed salad is among my favorites.

Some Facts On Broadway Shows

Broadway shows may run for a varying number of weeks, depending on ticket sales. Musicals tend to have longer runs than do stage plays. Both musicals and stage plays on Broadway and in their respective tours often rely on casting well-known performers in leading roles to draw larger audiences or bring in new audience members to the theatre. Actors from movies and television are frequently cast for the premieres of Broadway shows or are used to replace actors leaving a cast. Many performers, however, are still primarily "stage" actors, who spend more time on the stages of New York and will appear in television and screen roles as a secondary venue.

Visit Comic Strip Live

Upon entering the Comic Strip, you'll pass a wall lined with autographed publicity shots of comics who have played the club since its inception in the 1970's. Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld and Paul Riser are just a few of today's stars whose pictures grace this East Side establishment. Wednesday is Alternative Night at the club, where, prior to the traditional stand-up routines, you'll see group sketches and one-man shows. The club, which seats up to 220 people, serves light fare, which includes pizza, Chinese and Mexican food.

1568 Second Avenue, between 81st & 82nd Streets (212) 861-9386
Take the #4, #5 or #6 train to 86th St and walk over to 2nd Ave.

Hot eats...

I finally got a chance to try the infamous Plataforma restaurant on 49th St between 8th and 9th Ave.

The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken, etc., in succession, to each diner individually right at their table, thus there is not a traditional menu. The restaurant features a fixed-price continuous tableside service. You'll also find an outta this world salad bar.

Get there fast and let the gorging begin. A bit on the pricey side but worth every cent.
